Biography: Dr. Kutarov Vladimir is currently working as a head of the laboratory of physics and chemistry of sorption processes in Physical Research Institute I. I. Mechnikov National University, Ukraine. Scientific work is carried out jointly with Fraunhofer UMSICHT, Germany. His main scientific interests are Thermodynamics of small systems, non extensive thermodynamics, Thermodynamic theory of similarity, geometric methods in thermodynamics, fractal and multifractal characteristics of small thermodynamic systems. His research area is in irreversible thermodynamics of adsorption. Random sequential adsorption. Cooperative sequential adsorption. Phase transitions in quasi-one-dimensional adsorption systems, fractal geometry of phase transitions. Studies of structure of porous materials, analytical equations for the pore size distribution function in adsorption systems.
